ITALY

I really want to go the Italy or somewhere exotic. So if I were to be anywhere in the world I would be there, or Japan, or somewhere that I would never dream I would be. So I could experience different atmospheres, people, and food. That is why when I go to college I really want to study abroad. It would be the best thing. So that is where I will be in world in maybe a couple years. As of now I live in Rochester, and it is boring.

Reflecting

I personally did not like Blogging that much. I did not express the initiative to come everyday and answer the blog questions. I gave me to much freedom that I myself could not handle. I could not in any way think of cool and interesting blog to write about. I mean it was okay experience. But I would not continue to blog. I did learn a lot about what people like to write about. That a blog can be a space where people can share their opinions about controversial topics. Since Mrs.Parker always gave us topic that allowed us to share our thoughts. However I still did not like it as much. I am more of structured essay kind of person.

Euthansia Controversy

This a complicated topic. I kind of don't even want to discuss it, because who are we to know that helping someone extremely ill commit suicide is wrong. Is a person in a vegetative state have to stay alive is it really necessary. Or is killing someone the right thing to do when the are technically not conscious of the world around them. The topic seems a little sensitive. I personally feel uncomfortable discussing it. The reason being because I have no idea is right or wrong, and I don't have an opinion because of that. This life is complicated enough who are we to decide or give our opinions on the matters of life and death.

Relationships and Violence-the brutal cycle-

Abusive relationships unfortunately seem to always be a somewhat concealed problem. This one specific incident with Rihanna and Chris Brown is just a current reminder that these things do still occur in some relationships. It just came as a shock that a guy so talented, and who seemed to basically have the world in the palm of his hands, would commit such an act. Especially with the knowledge that he lives in the public eye. Although he did do it, I believe the problem is not that he did or more importantly why. The issue we should be concerned with is that Rihanna (a current example) or any women allows the act to continue. Why would a beautiful and talented women with the paycheck she gains every in her right mind return to a man that makes them feel lower than dirt. It seems unlikely, but they do. This what society should focus on because as of now it seem like a unreachable goal to forever impede that a man will never but his hands on a women to cause physical harm. We should focus preventing women from accepting this and any form of abuse. If they don't the abuse gets worse, until the point that it endangers the womans life. Women must develop the courage to stop the cycle regardless of the risk. If they don't this will continue to go on. The man may not stop, so the women should completely dissolve the relationship for the sake of example, and their lives.

Barbie - The perfect woman ?

There seems to be a unified mentality of ideal beauty. That is skinny, white, long blond hair, and blue eyes is what is beautiful. I am not saying that these characteristics are not beautiful, because they are. However more varieties of beauty can been seen throughout the world that do not fit this mould. Which makes it slightly awkward that all this these distinct kids play with the same generic doll, that may not have the same representation of who they are. or maybe even where they came from. When I analyze the true and original Barbie, I come across a sense of superficiality. The painted on eyes, and lips and the plastic smile are examples of that. Do not get me started on Barbie's clothes. Do young girls actually dress like that? Or the better question should be should they able to? The answer is absolutely not, when I think about it more deeply if Barbie had to be on the market, then she should be sold to teens through 20's. If only we played with dolls. Anyways Despite that they are complete opposite of what women want to be categorized as, Barbie still sells. I have no idea why honestly maybe because kids don't analyze these kinds of things. I remember when I played with my Barbie I would blow-dry her hair with the fan, and give her haircuts. I would make my Ballerina Barbie do endless pirouettes on pointe. It never crossed my mind that the Barbie that I was dancing with was not at all like me, and that I could never be like her.

Amelia( The Ballet Movie)

I have recently discovered Amelia a contemporary ballet movie choreographed by Lalala Humansteps. When I first saw the clip I was intrigued and fascinated by the movement. The two dancers a man and a women, moved into intricate and sharp movements. The male dancer could be seen as a puppeteer, controlling the movements of the female dancer on pointe. The lighting was varied and slightly dim, and for some artistic reason the dancers after a phrase was finished would walk to another part of the floor. Dramatic still moments and camera angles made the already sharp and dynamic dance more interesting. Overall I loved this clip, and I look forward to watching the whole entire movie.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9BqgrhHhQE

The Best Dance Concert ever !

It officially has been 2 weeks since Dance Concert has been over. I have to say It was the best year. There was so much variety. There was Modern, contemporary, lyrical, and even Ballet. Which has not been seen on the Dance Concert stage for many years. I of course was part of this monumental moment. Each night was unique, at least for me. I am basing that on the fact that some nights I did great in some pieces, and other pieces I messed up and vice versa for the next night. The Jazz piece was so happy, and extremely kid friendly. The ballet pieces were particularly debuting in Dance concert. Due to this variety it makes this year, the best Dance Concert ever :).

An example of a battle between economics and morals

I am going to go way back, very far back into the past. Into the Antebellum period in the United States. Revolutionary efforts to free the Slaves have slowly and steadily increased. What was the problem that prevented that the slaves be freed outright? That is money. Though each slave lost their lives in bondage, and did not even have the right to govern their breath. There was much opposition to their freedom, in the south especially. Due to the simple fact that their labor force would be depleted. Which meant money lost, and less money acquired from then on . This conflict between what is right and economics affected the whole process and the length of time it took for the slaves to be freed. Of course that is not the only reason, race was another substantial factor. But economics had a say in the matter.
